Samsung Laptop without Hard Drive

Samsung unveils its prototype laptop without hard disk drive but 32GB Flash Memory at the CeBit.The smaller-sized memory chips allows the prototype drive to occupy the same space as traditional 1.8-inch disk-based drives. The speed of solid-state disk(SSD) is much more faster than that of traditional hard drive that the prototype is able to boot in 18 second versus 31 seconds for the laptop with a regular hard disk drive. However the main problem is that though the price of Flash memory declined a lot , the price is still high. The 32GB SSD in the prototype costs $960.
