Research in Motion (RIM), partnered with with Vodafone, announces its first 3G-enabled Blackberry device. The new machine is based on the 8700 series released last year. The device runs on a 312MHz Intel PXA901 processor with 16MB of SRAM and 64MB of Flash memory. It comes with a 320 x 240, 65,635-colour TFT LCD, quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity. You can check the detail spec. below. According, it will be be released next month by Vodafone in UK.

On 25th March, Vodafone commence nationwide sales of the Vodafone 804SS, a new 3G handset by Samsung Electronics. It Samsung’s first mobile phone for the Japanese market. The phone measures only W50.5 × H99 × D14.9mm and weights 98g. It features Document viewing for Adobe PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint. It also comes with a Full-fledged music player functions with external music keys on the front while it also supports Deru Moji 3D Pictogram Display for pop-up animations in received mails.

ImCoSys, a Swiss company, is going to release its SmartPhone running on Linux. The device is well equipped with WiFi, Quadband, GPS and bluetooth. The phone features a 262k colors TFT touchscreen, GPS module. The Linux OS then phone run on supports push email solution from IBM Lotus and Microsoft Exchange server. It is able to read Microsoft office documents, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and also Adobe PDF files. The smartphone is planned to be available in June for Europe and US with the price 298 Euro which is about 356 USD.
