Seagate’s 750GB external HDD

Seagate will ship its external desktop hard drive with 750GB capacity which is based on 750GB Barracuda 7200.10 next month. The 750GB drive inside runs at 7,200rpm and has 16MB of cache memory. It has an average latency of 4.2ms.

It too incorporates both USB and Firewire connectors, and ships with PC and Mac software that will automatically back up the host computer’s hard drive when the button on the front of the external unit is pressed.

The uni will be priced at around $559.
