Leica D-LUX 3 Digital Camera Captures 720p video

Other than the C-LUX 2, Leica presents also the new D-LUX 3 compact digital camera. The 10 Megapixel D-LUX 3 camera features a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 6.3–25.2 mm f/2.8–4.9 ASPH lens with 4x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom,, ISO up to 1600, MEGA optical image stabilization, and a 2.8-inch LCD screen.
The Leica D-LUX 3 can record 16:9 1280×720 videos at 15fps or 848×480 at 30fps. If you don’t like 16:9 aspect ratio, you can instead use the D-LUX 3 to capture 4:3 640×480 videos at 30 fps. The D-LUX 3 supports PictBridge and DPOF. It accepts SD and MMC cards.
Like other Leica compact cameras, this D-LUX 3 and the C-LUX 2 are based on Panasonic’s Lumix cameras.
