Dopod P800W WM5 Phone with GPS, EDGE

Dopod is going to release in Asia its new Pocket PC phone P800W (that is HTC Artemis). The phone runs Windows Mobile 5 PPC Phone Edition with TI OMAP 850 200MHz, 128MB ROM / 64MB SDRAM.

The PDA phone features a 2 Megapixel camera, a 2.80inch QVGA screen, SiRF GPS antenna, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE. With the 2 MP camera and the GPS antenna, the phone can take phones with navigating directions or you can also use the “photo navigation” function to find your way with a photo embedded with navigation data.

The phone also has an ipod-like click wheel and trackball for easy scrolling. The phone measures 108 x 58 x 16.8 mm and weighs 128 g. It is expected to be available in Taiwan in late October and in Hong Kong in November.
