Samsung introduced at the CES 2007 its new SyncMaster 2280HD monitor, a 22-inch widescreen HDTV / monitor display. The Samsung SyncMaster 2280HD features a 1680 x 1050 resolution which can display 1080p high-definition signals. It has a response time of 5ms, 170-degree viewing angle, brightness of 400cd/m2 and a contrast ratio up to 700:1. The price is expected to be $599.

The 2280HD monitor will be available in April.

LAS VEGAS – January 8, 2007 – Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and plasma display products, today introduced the SyncMaster 2280HD monitor, a 22-inch widescreen HDTV / monitor display, at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. A selection of Samsung’s monitor portfolio, including the 2280HD monitor, will be on display in the Samsung booth, #11033, in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center January 8-10.

Loaded with features and capabilities for the ideal viewing experience, the 2280HD monitor is designed with versatility in mind, satisfying both home and office needs by functioning as a high-resolution PC monitor and a high-end TV without sacrificing picture quality. Equipped with Samsung’s proprietary MagicClearï¼´ coating, a high-brightness anti-reflective coating to reduce light reflection the 2280HD monitor features exceptionally clear picture quality.

In addition, the 2280HD monitor delivers 1680 x 1050 resolution, is capable of displaying 1080p high-definition signals, and offers a 5ms response time, providing stable viewing for multimedia driven applications. A wide 170-degree viewing angle and a contrast ratio up to 700:1, also provide for an enhanced viewing experience.
