EM Mobile/Sharp EM ONE (S01SH) PDA phone

EM Mobile is a new mobile operator in Japan. It is going to launch the EM ONE (S01SH), a PDA phone from Sharp. The EM Mobile/Sharp EM ONE is powered by an Intel PXA 520MHz processor, and a NVidia GoForceTM5500 chipset.
The EM ONE has also a 4.1-inch 800×480 LCD touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g, HSDPA support, and Bluetooth 1.2.
The phone runs the Windows Mobile 5 OS and is priced art Euro 635.

I checked this out yesterday in Bic Camera, Tokyo.
It’s a nice looking device – the screen is really good and the keyboard and slider design pretty smooth – BUT – it is NOT a phone!
I know, it’s crazy, but it only runs on the HSDPA network newly installed in central Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Nice and fast (3.6 Mbps), but no voice?? OK, we have Bluetooth, an Intel processor and Windows Mobile 5.0 (Japanese only at this point) so surely we can get a VoIP app on this pronto?
Also, I checked out the browsers (Explorer and Opera) – neither will run Google docs, spreads or calendar so Web2.0 doesn’t get much of a nod. It does have ‘1 seg’ TV though – which is cool – shame the content is so awful.
