CECT P168 – iPhone Clone

You probably have heard of the Meizu MiniOne, which is an Apple iPhone clone (though the specification is better). Here is another iPhone clone from China, the CECT P168.
The CECT P168 looks really like the iPhone, even the wallpaper has been copied. The CECT P168 has a 3.5-inch QVGA LCD touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera (actual resolution: 1.3 Megapixel). It has integrated music player, video player, dictionary.
The CECT P168 has two SIM card slot, unfortunately you can’t use the two SIMs at the same time but have to switch between them.

Tee- I hate to tell you this but Sprinti not a GM netowrk and tese phones will not work with them at all. You need a Sprint phone.
Can someone who has sprint tell me their opinion about how it works with the network? I want to purchase for my son and he will absolutely need to be able to download music, get to and browse the internet and download games. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have the i9 phone and I am having problems connecting to the net and receiving mms. I called at&t but they were not able to help me. Phone says GPRS not subscribed, can someone please advise on what to do. There are too many settings and I am not able to figure this out.Thanks

I sell the i93G in with te 8gb card. It is a pretty good phone although many of the icons are useless chinese apps. The new i68+3g is out in the last 2 weeks and also has the black back, is single sim and has the phone dock slot and normal 3.5mm earphone jacks. it is 3 menus but has an internal battery and memory card. The cool think is the mini opera, google, google maps and ebay icons. I sell them and he others at http://www.zyaglo.com and NEVER sell cheaper copies.
Actually I ordered the i9 3g version of the i68. It looks just like the iphone with an all black or all white back. If anyone has that phone could you please leave me your opinion on the phone. The one I ordered comes with a ten page menu and a cd to put tons of games and wallpapers and ringtones. Im just hoping the phone works as good as the deal seems. If your a t mobile customer I would like to know your opinion on how the internet works on it. Thank you.

My ifoe model no: 168C wont turn on like i had it for 1 month and it jest wouldnt turn on anymore then i frogot about it for a while but someone please tell me what to do to make it work agian i loved it so much!! i miss it

Can you send music from ur pc to the i68 phone?
Yes, just hook-up the phone to the computer via USB cord. But you need to have a sd card in the phone already.
I am with t mobile and am waiting on the i68 now. If there are any t mobile customers out there can u give me your opinion on how everything worked out for you with the phone.
I have t-mobile and the P168 and it works great. I cant get applications n it, but I knew that going in and I dont care. I added internet on it and it does what I need it to do. I love my MP3/MP4 that it plays and overall it is really good. All I can say is dont get frustrated and just play with it on the weekend and you will be happy.
how did u get it pass the pin code screen because no matter what i type in it wont work?
can anyone break down on how to load and access music file,sick n tired of grps not register error, i mean WOW!! “play with it?”there isnt enuff option to go to
When you plug in your USB all I did was place my music foles on it and it automatically went to the MP3 player. There are certain formats that wont play on it so you have to try a few. I know if I ripped Cd’s it doesnt play until I use the converter for Media and then it does fine.
I just bought the same phone, and I have T-Mobile, but I can’t seem to get the phone setup. How did you do it?

I called t-mobile and they had their IT guy while I was on the phone (not on my cell) send me text messages with things to install on my cell. It worked well and it took like 15 minutes. They were very knowledgable about the phone as many people have them. I also had internet placed on it and although it isnt the greatest as I cant see all sites, I still can do news, myspace etc on it.

I have the all black back with some silver on the edges. I really like the phone. I have heard bad things about it, but for what I wanted it for it serves its purpose. I do myspace and some surfing. I cant do youtube or anything that has too much graphics not sure if an upgrade would help or not. Overall I love the Mp3 player speakers, video recorder, pictures, movies etc. The games arent bad either for being a cell.

And another thing, the phone contained a lot of games which are all in an Asian language, rendering them useless. They make the phone look congested and i would really like to delete them. Does anyone know how i would be able to delete them?

Hi I have a CECT i9 I try to hook it up to my USB port and my computer say it has malfunctioned? I am wanting to download music to the phone! Is there any software I need for the USB port that was supposed to come with the phone?

Can anyone tell me if they have managed to download games from the net to their phone, and if so what are these phones compatiable with. I have tried the Nokia 2610 but no good, the 2610 is only good for the configurations of the MMS and Internet.

I have the HiPhone i9 and I live in Ontario canada. I also own motorolla w370 on Rogers but when I take my sim out to put in the HiPhone i9 all I get is insert sim. I called Rogers and they said they dont support knock off phones so what can I do? Anybody know what kind of sim card from canada service providers work in these phones so I can see about getting one so I can use my new phone? Thanks

Hi sr…yes I got it working. I had to purchase the proper SIM card which I bought off ebay for 8.00 . You need to use the SIM card for a Blackberry or an iPhone. If you want I can send you the link for the proper SIM card for Rogers on Ebay so you get the right one.

Call T-Mobile tech support. They just walked me through the steps and now I can connect perfectly. They don’t mind helping with the non-standard phones as long as you have the service:)
I have the accessories for all of the P168 phones, the m88, the i68 and i68+, the new i93 and i9b on http://www.zydaglo.com and ship from the USA instead of China. I have a Cect p168 but I cant work out how to use handwrting recognition for texting becasue i can draw letters but they dont come up as text, how do i fix this?
how do you extend the unlocked screen on the phone. I don’t like the fact that I have to keep unlocking it every 2-3 seconds. Plz Help.

Here is a way to switch off the lock.
Go to
Main Menu
Settings
Phone Setup
Display Characteristic
then tap on the Slide to unlock and switch it off.
To put it back on just do the same thing.

I’m from Australia and I had the same thing.
Ring up your telecomunnication service and ask them to download configurations of a Nokia 2610 to your phone. You will need to go into your GPRS folder and make sure that you have 2 profiles completley clear, 1 for MMS and 1 for internet, ask them to download them to you seperatley, and put them into the 2 empty profiles, this will then give you activation of internet and MMS together.

Can anyone help by telling me Ican get a charger. I have two batteries and I swapping bateeries eevery other day. However, I would like to be able to charge the phone with the battery intact. I have misplaced the USB cord. Thank you
If you go to ebay they have a ton of accessories and chargers and USB cords – just search for “CECT P168″, and then view by “Price- lowest first”, and the small stuff will come to the top. The chargers and such are like on the 2-5 pages…take a look. They are not too pricey.
Just received a Digitalrise d718i bought from chinagrabber.com.
I just have a few issues with it, and naturally they dont reply to emails.
I cant seem to play any of my ipod videos on it.
1.Does anyone have a sample mp4 video and a sample ebook file?
2.Can it play video/photos in landscape or only in portrait? cause I wasnt able to do that.
3.During a call, is it possible to enter a number like “2″ when asked by a phone menu?.I got stuck on that one:(
4.The screen poweroff delay is set to 5-6 seconds. How can I make it20-30 seconds.

My daughter found this out for me, in answer to 3. During a call, you can access numbers by pressing the little green phone icon that appears at the bottom of the screen – this should bring up a numerical display. Hope this helps
does anyone no where i can get a replacment housing for my p168 the one i have is getting old.
my p168 is showing charger connected and charger removed and also warning bad contact charger. i think it has a software bug or sumting. i have no idea want to do to correct this, please help me someone.

The only thing that I can suggest is before you got to bed change how long the screen stays on.
Go to main Menu and then Settings
Phone setup
scroll down all the way to Misc. settings
LCD backlight
and then use your pen to calibrate the bottom slide all the way to 60 seconds.
That way your alarm should stay on for 1 minute.

Settings
Phone Setup
Display Characteristic
Slide to unlock and switsh it off.

I turned on the alert to wake up in the morning, but the sound turns off after 5 seconds because of the cellphone lock up

I have one of these phones and it is fantastic, but does anyone in Australia have one of these running on Optus, as I cannot seen to get the GPRS up and running to ge ton to the internet or send and recieve MMS. Can someone please help with the configuration.

Did you ring optus and tell them you had a Nokia 2610?
I got in touch with Optus and they emailed me the Nokia 2610 sheets with all the information to put in to the 168, such as the web address, MMS address, but still having problems.
Keeps telling me my GPRS is unsubscribed.

Hey guys. I am also having troubles setting up the MMS and net on this phone. Thanks to your info i phoned optus and they sent me the settings but unfortunatly they didnt work. Now im on to Plan B which is deleting some folders in GPRS folder etc but i have no idea where to even find this folder. Can you write simple steps of what i should do and where I can find it all.

I am thinking about purchasing the i68 and would like more information about this phone. I have two phones now both with a 3g network and wondering if it will support it. Is there any other software that I would have to purchase and what are the problems that you are having with this phone. is it worth getting this phone

I have seen 3G cards work in the i9 phones and then another one not work. The i9b seems to be the best i9 version onthe market today with synchronization of calander and phonebook built in and english msn.

Go to profiles, then customize a profile, go to tone setup then alert tipe and choose RING.
