Palm Foleo Announced

Palm announced its new product, the Foleo mobile companion. Palm Foleo features a 10-inch widescreen LCD display, a full QWERTY keyoard, integrated WiFi. Bluetooth is also available for users to sync their handheld device with the Foleo. Foleo is priced at $499.
I just want to ask if Palm did any marketing research. Foleo is really pointless. Its size is more or less the same as a notebook/sub-notebooks, but not as powerful as notebooks. It performs similar functions as a PDA (may be even less functions), but it is much larger in size. Who is going to buy it. Palm, what are you doing?
