Nikon CoolPix P5000 Camera Reviewed

May 21st, 2007 by Sze | 2 Comments | Filed in Camera and Camcorder

Nikon CoolPix P5000
TrsutedReviews gives us a review on the Nikon CoolPix P5000 digital camera. The Nikon CoolPix P5000 is a 10 Megapixel camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. It has an ISO rating up to 200, 4cm macro shooting, and a 2.5-inch LCD display.

Nikon CoolPix P5000 can record 640×480 video at 30fps. It has 21MB internal memory and supports SD and SDHC memory cards.

Verdict from TrustedReviews:
The Nikon CoolPix P5000 isn’t the top-drawer semi-pro compact that many were hoping for, but it is a well-made and well-specified camera suitable for more experienced photographers. Its lack of performance and slow AF system are handicaps, but comfortable handling, a good range of options and features, and excellent photographic results more than compensate.

Acer Aspire 9300-5005 Notebook Reviewed

May 21st, 2007 by Sze | No Comments | Filed in Laptop

Acer Aspire 9300-5005 Notebook

LaptopMag has reviewed the Acer Aspire 9300-5005 notebook PC. The Acer Aspire 9300-5005 is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM (up to 4GB), a 120GB hard drive and Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics.

Acer Aspire 9300-5005 has also a 8X DVD+/-R burner, a 17-inch LCD display, WiFi 802.11 b/g, and a 5-in-1 memory card slot.

LaptopMag says:
For less than $1,000, you get a system that will easily shoulder any productivity task and capably handle multiple applications at once. And although it may not run today’s most demanding games and graphics applications set to the maximum settings, with a 3DMark03 score of 3,042, you should have no problem using the Aspire 9300-5005 as a midlevel gaming system. The six-cell battery lasted for only 69 minutes on our DVD drain test, but this laptop isn’t made to stray far from the wall socket anyway.

If you’re looking for a big display and powerful performance for about $1,000, the Acer Aspire 9300-5005 is about as good as it gets.
