Canon updates its G series with the Powershot G9 digital camera. Canon PowerShot G9 features a 12.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, 6x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer System, an ISO rating up to 1600, and a 3-inch LCD display. The G9, of course, is powered by the DIGIC III image processor providing a better image quality.

The Canon PowerShot G9 supports SD/SDHC,  MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus Card.

Canon announced also EOS 40D digital SLR camera. 40D features a 10 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, an ISO rating up to 3200, and it is powered by Canon’s DIGIC III image processor. Like the Mark III, the EOS 40D supports framing and capturing of subjects using the camera’s 3-inch LCD screen instead of the viewfinder.

Canon EOS 40D supports CF card Type 1 and II.

Canon announced the new EOS-1Ds Mark III digital SLR camera. Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III features a 21 Megapixel Full-frame CMOS image sensor, dual “DIGIC III” image processors and it supports Framing and shooting subjects using the camera’s 3-inch LCD screen.

The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III will be shipped in November and will be priced at$7,999.

Nikon announced the new D3 digital SLR camera. Nikon D3 features a 12.1 Megapixe FX-format Full frame CMOS sensor, an ISO rating up to 6400, 51-point auto focus system and a 3-inch LiveView LCD display. It has two CompactFlash memory card slot.

Stylus 830 is another compact camera from Olympus. It has 8 Megapixel CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom, 5.6x digital zoom, and an ISO rating up to 1600.

Olympus Stylus 830 does come with image stabilization feature and has a 2.5-inch LCD display. It has 14.8MB internal memory and supports xD memory card. 830 measures 99.6 x 55.1 x 24.0mm and weighs 125g. It will also be available in September for $330.

Olympus presents the Stylus 1200, a 12 Megapixel digital camera. Olympus Stylus 1200  features 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, Image Stabilization, an ISO rating up to 6400, a 2.7-inch LCD display. It has 47MB internal memory and supports xD memory cards.

The Stylus 1200 measures 98.1 x 56.2 x 23.0mm and weights 125g. It will be available in the coming September for around $350.
