The Samsung Ace does NOT have AIM or Yahoo messenger. It only comes w/ MSN. You have to find and download or buy a compatible messenger. Preferably a multiple IM client. (IM+ was successful). General impressions are that this phone is great for business users, but if you like to tinker, it seems like the Operating System has been crippled by Sprint, and there is not yet a strong user community driving fixes. Ultimately, not too "smart" of a smartphone.
