Here is a review on the Dell XPS M1730 gaming laptop from ExtremeTech. The Dell XPS M1730 is is powered by an Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 2.8GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, two GeForce 8800M GTX graphic cards and 200GB hard drive. The laptop comes with also Blu-ray drive, WiFi and Bluetooth.
ExtremTech gives the laptop 9 points out of 10 and commented it as the Fastest Notebook Yet:
That’s typical of high-end, large format gaming notebooks, and it comes with the territory. What you get for the sacrifice in battery life, and of course several thousand dollars, is one of the fastest notebooks we’ve ever seen—in fact, the fastest we’ve yet tested. It comes closer to replicating the desktop experience than any notebook we have seen so far.

Hey Kevin, dont you read the specs on your laptop before buying?? why did you waste your money on this latop if you are not going to use 90% of the laptops features. You really are a retard LOL
The post by Kevin McGuire is really stupid, the xps 1730 is a desktop replacement and anyone who puts this on their lap should be laughed at, the xps has dual 9800 GTX cards! in it so its pretty amazing it runs on a 230w power supply, thats why it is so big, this laptop is really powerful and of course it will get hot it has Dual SLI 9800GTX cards 2 Hard Drives in some models and has room for a AGEIS PHYSX card as well.
This is a gaming beast and will only get about 45mins – 1 hour of battery use out of it, if you want a laptop to take around with you get a notebook or netbook, the xps needs a desk as it is nearly 11 pounds in weight! thats heavy.
To Kevin,
Wanna sell it? email me at cbtalk216@aol.com… ill buy it from you
The Dell XPS M1730 is the worst laptop I’ve ever owned. Read my lips – its not a laptop – 10 minutes on my my lap and it burns. The power supply is bigger than a brick, battery life is less time than it takes to find a power socket anywhere. This is my 5th but last Dell ever. I’m angry – can’t wait to get rid of it – cheap laptop for sale email me now.
