Intel to launch 6-core CPU this year

According to BetaNews, Intel will probably launch its six core processor within this year, confirmed by senior vice president Pat Gelsinger.
The six-core Dunnington server processor is based on Penryn architecture and has a L3 cache of 16MB. It will go production as soon as this summer. The 45 nm Nehalem will also start production in Q4 this year.
