IBM Power 575 “Hydro-Cluster” Supercomputer has Fastest Processor

IBM announced the Power 575 “Hydro-Cluster” Supercomputer, which is based on the world’s powerful Power6 microprocessor. The Power6 is the world’s first to achieve 5GHz clock speed.
Thanks to the new Power6, the Power 575 deliver 2 to 3 times the performance of HP and Sun’s offering.
IBM announced also Power 595 UNIX Enterprise server, which can deliver twice the performance of HP’s Superdome Itanium system.
