hey everyone!
im looking into a NEW cell phone. im debating between the LG VANTAGE and the HTC TOUCH. which would you guys recommend? i hear the battery life on the vantage isnt very good and that you get many missed calls. however, on the HTC touch, i hear it is very difficult to text and can become very laggy! any opinions on which phone i should get?
THANKS! :)

fot that person who says they dont have windows live you have to go to menu then you go to messaging and then touch the message/IM option and it'll bring you to windows live plus i charged my battery up for 24 hours before i used it and my battery will typically run on 2 dayys maybe 3 if i dont use it and 4 if i turn it off every night while my other phone which is three years old runs a full week even when used frequently (its not touch but still) so this phone with improved tech should last at least three days regardless of touch

For those of you complaining about battery life ... you literally teach your battery how to work. If you do not charge your phone fully the first time, the battery is not going to work as great, so I find. If you only charge it halfway everytime you charge it, then it's going to die a lot faster than if you charge it fully every time. Just a little tip! :)

I find the battery to be fine for me. I took picked up this phone a couple of days ago. My battery is usually still full by the end of the day.
Though the only concern i have is that on the box it says that is has windows live, but on my phone i don't see it. Though its not very important that is my only complaint lol.

I picked up a Vantage a few days ago as well. I too have had very short battery life. It only lasts about 24 hours with regular use which is pretty frustrating for a new phone. Other than that I love it. But i'm not sure if I can put up with it dying on me mid day. That should be saved for the last year of your contract not all 3.

I have the vantage, it has only 2.0 megapixel camera w/o zoom.

I picked up this phone earlier this week.
I also find that this phone tends to drop a lot of calls!
and to me, thats very disappointing.
It seems to have better reception in the slider open position or on speakerphone once you find the sweet spot though.
In my room, i'm forced to use speaker b/c i cannot move around with the phone...(i had 4 dropped calls in 20 minutes)
the touch screen can be calibrated, which is great for me..but hard for others to use...but it can get slightly annoying when you're trying to scroll down your contact list..(it's not very smooth scrolling) sometimes i wish there was a scroll button or if the keypad could scroll the contact list for you!
battery life seems to be a bit weak..or maybe b/c they gave me a used/open version of the phone, for which i am VERY angry at..I charged it on thursday and it was out of batteries by friday!
Finally, the loudspeaker on this phone isn't very loud compared to my old phone and the sony ericson phones. It has 5 volume levels, whereas my old one had 10. music player is also laggy. although there are 2 versions of it
