Samsung TouchWiz SGH-F488 Launched in Taiwan

Samsung launches the SGH-F488 (aka F480) touchscreen phone in Taiwan market. The Samsung SGH-F488/F480 features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel camera and 0.3 Megapixel front camera for video calls.
The F488 is a 3G phone and supports HSDPA 7.2Mbps high speed data. The integrated media player supports MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and FM tuner with RDS. F488′s 5 Megapixel camera supports auto focus, smile detection, electronic stabilization and MP4 video recording.
The SGH-F488 features Samsung’s TouchWiz widget-based UI, which we have seen before. The touchscreen phone has 250MB internal memory and supports microSDHC up to 8GB.

Hello, I was nearly buying one “Samsung F488Y” on Ebay. I did not buy because I found no information about this phone anywhere on world wide Samsung pages. I do think it is a fake. Also because on its backside it says 13,1 MEGA PIXELS (the word pixel has no plural it should say pixel) There is no such mobile phone as I believe… Good luck

My wife has got a Samsung SGH F488. She got no user manual and it is very noisy especially when it is touched. Is there a way I can get a manual and CD. Why was it not supplied with its stick? One has to have a sharp finger nail to operate it too.

My SGH-F488 phone won’t charge. If it does, it won’t last 10mins. So difficult to charge with AC adaptor. Its always complaining of ‘Bad contact’. Pls help. Thanks
