We have seen a lot of iPhone clones, CECT P168 is probably the most popular one. However, Sciphone i68 may be able to challenge the P168.
Sciphone i68 features a 3.2-inch 16 Million color LCD touch display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth and FM Tuner. It comes with 1GB internal storage and support external memory cards.
i68 is a quad-band GSM phone. It measures 115mm×61mm×11.5mm and weighs 95g.

i have one too and have posted on this same question below. If you can only make emergency calls then yes you have the sim in the wrong way or wrong slot.

Maybe your sim is not compatible. Do you know anyone with a different phone company. could you try their sim card in your phone. Some sims are not supported.

Your sim is most likely not compatible. try a friends sim (if you know someone with a different phone company)

i had the same problem to begin with (i`m now using dual sim)….make sure you go to settings } network set up…make sure you activate each sim with your respective network
this should get you up and running.

I cant text on my sciphone 168+. It will let me type two letters at the most in english and then nothing more. I try other buttons and it reverts to chinese characters. Also it gives me no option to insert a contact to send the text to or what to do when if ever I could finish a text! And is there anyway to make the keys bigger?

I think the new WIFI F003 is better than the i68+. Finally there is a phone that has wifi and ZERO CHINESE APPS on it. I have been selling it for a few weeks on http://www.zydaglo.com and so far it blows the i68+ away in use and in features. It even has a regular earphone connection so you dont need an adapter.
I bought the i68 sciphone. it worked for a few calls i set the phone down for 5mins and cant except or make calls anymore. I placed a att sim card in. I dont understand why it would work then just stop. I tried putting the sim in the other slot and turning phone back on it worked again then stopped please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have purchased the chinese mobile phone Sciphone I9+++. Till now it was working perfectly but today I am facing this peculiar problem. When I connect the phone with computer through data cable it shows the charging, but it is not showing it as a removeable drive in the computer’s explorer. I have also installed the micro SD card (4 GB). I am able to see/play/delete my files stored in the memory card through phone but in computer it is not showing it. Please help me to come out of this situation. Thanks a lot in advance.

How do you change the volume on this phone and where is the vibrate and silent mode?? Why is this phone so difficult to use. I don’t understand why I can’t use Sim 1 the sim card fits into both slots but we have to hit the sim 2 spot to dial out. Can someone please help I down loaded the manual and it’s no help for this question. I really think I should be allowed to return this phone. This is false advertisement and someone should be punished for this phone not being able to work properly. Can anyone tell me if this phone can go on vibrate and how you put it on silent.
Like mentioned before on this site it´s good to get the phone known a little better. It is NOT a Iphone, you didn´t pay for a Iphone, so don´t expect one.
If you go to “User profiles” you can customize the profile you want. When pressing “Alert type” you can select Ring, Vib. only, Vib. and ring, Vib. then ring.
Both the sims should work fine. If one isn´t put in correctly, you will get a notice in the main screen saying “Insert sim”. Maybe by getting the sim out and back in again, the problem is solved?

Can you please give us a bit more details? Are you trying to access the memory card on the phone itself or through your computer? What memory card is inserted (how many GB).
And probably a stupid question, but I´m gonna ask it anyway: did you insert the memory card correctly?
If we get a little bit more info, maybe we can help you out.
your card is to big for the card. go buy a smaller card this phone has a memory limit of 4g???

Hi there i brought my sci phone a few days ago now it was working fine how ever all my messages were coming in as numbers not names so i decided to restore the factory settings and now the touch screen is not working and when plugged in to charge it states low battery shutdown. Can you help?
Did you try to put in another (full charged) battery? Maybe that will do the trick.

you have to enter the contact phone number with a 1 +the area code+phone number. However, when the person calls, just the phone number will show up and not the name. So you have to decide which one you want the name to show up on the texts or calls.
Just save the mobile number as is as the contacts mobile. then save the mobile number with the +61 as the contacts home or work number. then you will have their name display for both calls and sms, unless the caller has their phone set to private then their name will not display for calls.
The +61 is for Australian mobiles you put the +?? for your country. drop the first number in the mobile number and then put the rest of the number eg for Australia.
Mobile is 0455123456 then put +61455123456 Notice the 0 has been dropped.
when you get an sms from someone you will see your country code at the start of the incoming sms number.

The memorycard should be placed on the right side below the battery (and right from the sim cards)
The memory card should be places below the battery on the right side of the sim cards. If you open the back, it should be quite easy (frankly, you cant mis it, it´s a metal thingy).
I have read the manual and still no answer on how to make the keyboard bigger to text without using the stylus pen. Can anyone help?

When i try calling out it says call failed, and i can only recieve texts and i can’t send them. Can anyone help me? I got my phone to say AT&T.
first try taking your sim card out and putting it back in. if that doesnt work, you have to call at&t customer service. they’ll ask you
for the IMEI no. from under the battery. once you do that you’ll be ready to go. to set your internet and email settings your going to have to go to an at&t store because their customer service people are kind-a stupid over the phone and dont get it when you tell them that you have an iPhone knock off.

i purchased sci i68 phone mone month back , from ebay mobileaccessories since very first day it is not functioning , when call comes i tried to unlock the button “slide to un lock ” but it does works when it works after five and six trial call is over it makes me fool . some times it never works i cant make call , seller at the time of purchasing commit many many thing including replacement but after selling never listen ,

if so your purchase is insured and you should be able to make a complaint and get a full refund after they investigate. otherwise, make a complaint thru ebay and they will investgate the seller. good luck!

You have to go to Service -> Data account -> GPRS -> and then make the right adjustments. Further you have to go to Service -> WAP -> Settings to select the sim you wish to use for connection to the internet.

you have to go the at&t store to have then set it for you because their customer service people are kind-a stupid over the phone and dont get it when you tell them that you have an iPhone knock off.
Solution to bright, white screen on SciPhone i68+ (white screen of death) is to do a hard reset. Leave the phone on while you take out the battery. Wait a minute or so, then replace the battery. Voila – screen of death solved.
i just got a sciphone and i left it pulled into the computer usb port to charge, woke up this am and cannot read anything on screen as it is too bright, tried decreasing lcd display but no success, any suggestions?
I just got an i68 and the texting letters are so small!! I can barely get a sentence out in under a minute. Does anyone know if there is a way to change this so the letters are bigger?

hey i recieved this as a gift. so far the fone does do wat it is supposed to. unfortunately my nephew tore the charger..so any hel finding someone to help find where to fix it or…mayb just buy anoda one. And besides all the wierd chinese languages i think is cool to text with…confuse some ppl. and i download ringtones..nt from the computer bt i still get the same results…they dont show up on the mp3 player…bt they do play.

hi. yeah you go on to a unlocking codes for phones, if your on a contract then just go onto your homepage for your contract and type in whats wrong, like codes… and that can help you, if that doesn’t work then you should contact the person who sold you it to help you.

Can anyone please tell from where i can access the sent items of messages in I68?
I have i68/i9+ not sure which. I installed my memory card that has pics, mp3’s, and video on it. the phone’s video player, music player and pic viewer won’t read it, but they show up in the phone’s file manager. What can I do to play them?
If you put in the music files in the directory mp3 on your memory card, then it should be able to play them through “Multimedia” -> “Audio player”. I change the music files on the Sciphone a lot and never had problems with it (apart from the sound quality being not that good).
do the i68 have itunes

I had a hard time too, a the en I found it in
PROFILES\GENERAL\CUSTOMIZE\TONE SETUP
And this seems to be the same for each profile ( Gemeral, meeting, outdoor, indoor, headset)

Just made the big mistake I think, of buying the i68! The audio is scratchy, mine doesn’t have polyphonic ringtones (big mistake!) only mp3 but phone won’t allow you to download from p.c!! It doesn’t look bad and I’ll guess it’ll have to do for now but it’s been a let down! Plus, even after changing the language alot of the info is still in chinese?! I’ve tried all the settings to change this but am so frustrated now I’ve given up!! This phone promises a lot in the write up but trust me it doesn’t live up to it in my view – it gives you pictures and tunes to differentiate between friends/family/business etc but won’t let you set up the phonebook with said differentials so you can’t use it anyway!! Might have to buy a cheapy for now just to get away from i68 DON’T DO IT the i68 itself is a real let down and in credit crunch times you can’t be constantly replacing mobiles at these prices!!
The audio is indeed not very good, but it will do the thing for me (use it while working out). What kind of firmware do you use? I also have the i68 and don´t have any problems changing the language or downloading MP3´s from my PC to the phone.
So you probably need to get to know the phone a bit better. I used the phone for about 6 months now and I am extremely happy with it. It does what it´s supposed to do and the dual sim is really really great!
So if you need any help, please send more data and we´ll see what we can do!

hey truus, I set the language to english but the phone has many games and functions still in chinese. In addition, when I go on the internet many of the webpages open in chinese eventhough i’m in the US and I keep setting the phone and internet sites to english- it seems like it just keeps defaulting back to chinese. Also, I’m having the hardest time downloading operamini so that i can actually use websites that i like(ie gmail, facebook, etc) but that seems to be impossible. I still havent bought the firmware – maybe I just need to purchase that to solve thes problems. Any advise???
Frankly I don´t know what goes wrong. I set the language to English (Settings -> Phone setup -> Language) and it stays English. The phone has it´s own firmware already installed (otherwise the phone wouldn´t work).
Personaly I don´t like Opera mini, I use the Bolt browser myself. It´s free and a lot easier to use/install.
I download it on my computer, than install it on the phone (either on phone memory or memory card) and use it. It´s quite easy.
I am begging somone to tell me how to get all of these chinease games off of my i68, and to get it in compete english,when i try to write a text its all chinease ? Ive tried changin the language, it says its on english, but its not 100%

My phone can recognise and play MP3 files, no problem at all. So I guess it doesn´t have to be MP4.

I got exactly same problem. I can still make and receive calls. But the screen resolution is so low because of those horizontal lines, you can hardly read anything . Any help is greatly appreciated!

i bought the cect p168c and loved it then i saw the sciphone i68 with has gsensor java and sum mor features the p168 dont have after recieving sciphone the screen looked smaller but compared them and the screen is actully the same size and yea the volume sucks really bad i cant even hear it when its in the case or my pocket i like both phones in there on way and also the sciphone dont even have a image editor so i have to use another phone just to make pictures larger then save to my mem card for wallpapers but just for the java i stuck with the sciphone
