Canon is going to launch in Japan its iVIS HF11 and iVIS HG21 digital camcorder that support the AVCHD standard. Both of them have a 3.31 Megapixel Canon Full HD CMOS image sensor, 12X optical zoom and 40x digital zoom.
The Canon iVIS HF11, replacing the HF10, has 32GB internal storage while the HG21, which is the successor of the HG10, comes with a 120GB hard drive. Both of them supports also SD and SDHC memory cards. They are powered by Canon’s DIGIC DV II video engine. HF11 and HG21 are capable in recording HD 1920×1080 videos in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High Profile format. They get also a 2.7-inch LCD display.
Both camcorders will be available in late August.
