BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 Hands-on

Guys over CrackBerry is able to grab the upcoming BlackBerry KickStart 8220 smartphone. The Kickstart is RIM’s first clamshell style BlackBerry. There are actually two versions of the Kickstart, 8220 and 8210.
The Kickstart supports GSM, GPRS and EDGE networks. It features a 240×320 internal LCD display and a 160×129 external display. You can also expect a 2 Megapixel camera, “Next Gen” SureType keyboard, a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Kickstart 8220 will get WiFi wireless connectivity while the 8210 gets GPS navigation.
Some comments:
The internal LCD is big (a good thing), but there is a lot of “border” surrounding it which makes the top half of the phone appear large. On the base, the KickStart’s “Next Gen” SureType keyboard features oversized keys — we’re talking literally twice the size of the keys on the Pearl — and also features the same guitar-fret inspired row separators as the BlackBerry Bold…
