I recently bought this new version of Hitachi’s camcorder and so far I’ve been impressed. It has longer recording time and bigger bandwidth than the last version. I heard some bad reviews about the older versions but with this one Hitachi has definitely has made improvements. I think my favorite part about this camcorder is the fact that you can take images from a video and turn them into digital still pictures. I uploaded a bunch of pictures from a europe trip that I went on and never once used my digital camera! While it is a little pricey, I found a promo coupon code that I’m pretty sure still works. Just go to the http://www.hitachibd.com website and type in SAVEBIG when you go to make your purchase. It saves about 20% I think, definitely worth it when you’re spending a thousand dollars on a camcorder.
I have this Hitachi DZ-BD10H HDD/Blu-ray Camcorder” too. the only things I don’t like about this camcorder is that when you burn video from the hard drive into disc and you play the videos on your dvd player on every video clip theres a pause like for a few seconds and then plays the following video clip it does not played all videos non stop another thing I don’t like is that when you add special effects like fade in or out does not records on the mini dvd disc. only when you connect the camcorder to your tv it showed the special effects other than is a ok camcorder.
