Samsung introduces the SGH-i688, a touchscreen mobile phone that supports China’s 3G standard, TD-SCDMA (Time-Division Synchronous Code-Division Multiple Access). With the support for TD-SCDMA, the i688 is able to connect to the Wireless Olympic Works network for real-time schedules, results and other Olympic information.
The Samsung SGH-i688 features a 2.8-inch 260k color touchscreen display, a 3 Megapixel camera, integrated media player, Bluetooth and microSD memory card slot. Other than TD-SCDMA, the i688 supports also tri-band GSM and EDGE.
The phone runs Windows Mobile 6 OS. It is only 14.5mm thick. Another TD-SCDMA phone from Samsung is the SGH-L288.

please, tell me what is the procedure to flash the ROM? thanks
@Marit,
You can’t change the language as your not able to customize the Chinese Version of Windows. It comes like the computer with one language only.
(Flashing the ROM with a different language is possible, although not officially supported)…And warranty might drop.
But the Samsung Menu should be able to change into Simplified/Traditional Chinese and English….
Cool
Does anybody know how you can change the language on the SGH-i688?
I have the phone, but it’s in Chinese and I don’t know how to change it..
Now we are living in a world where we see many changes happens everyday and most of those changes happens in techno world and thats a very good news.Anyway that set is looking quite good enough.
