Compal MID with HSPA/EDGE

Compal world’s second largest original device manufacturer (ODM) is preparing its Mobile Internet Device that will offer HSPA 3G connectivity. The new MID has the same form factor design as Aigo’s MID and Gigabyte’s M528.

The Compal MID will get Option’s ultra-compact GTM501 wireless module, offering HSDPA, HSUPA, 3G as well as EDGE and GPRS connectivity. The MID will based on Intel’s Atom processor technology and offers GPS and GlobeTrotter Connect for Linux.
