Dell announced two new affordable laptop PCs, Vostro A860, Vostro A840, Vostro A180 and Vostro A100 targeted at emerging economies.
Both A860 and A840 is powered by processors ranging from Celeron to Core 2 Duo. They have 1GB of memory, 120GB or 160GB hard drive, CD/DVD Burner, WiFi and optional Bluetooth connectivity. The A860 comes with a 15.6-inch HD LCD display while the A840 has a 1.41-inch WXGA LCD screen. They runs either Ubuntu Linux or Windows Vista.
The Vostro A180 is powered by Celeron or Pentium dual core processor and users can also choose from Ubuntu Linux and Windows Vista.
Lastly the Vostro A110 is an entry-level business laptop powered by Intel’s Atom processor, and it runs Ubuntu Linux.
