In addition to the two new line of AQUOS HDTVs, Sharp presents also the BD-HP21H that is the company’s ‘first cinema-quality Blu-ray player’. This new Blu-ray player has black finish and slim profile.
Sharp BD-HP21H features BD-Live 1.1 profile, Bonusview, 24Hz refresh rate, Quick-start mode for reducing power consumption, and JEPG viewing functionality. It will be available in October.
Sharp is also showing the world’s first solar powered LCD TV at the IFA. The 26-inch solar LCD TV consumes only one-fourth of the power of a 28-inch LCD TV.
