Logitech diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks

Logitech introduces three new keyboards, including the Illuminated Keyboard, diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks and Cordless Desktop S520 keyboard/mouse combo.

The ultra-thin Illuminated Keyboard is only 9mm thick. It offers a backlight experience that is brighter, sharper and easier to read thanks to the microlens reflectors, a multilayer painting process and laser etching. It comes with a full-size key layout, a row of function keys and media keys. It will be available in October for US $79.99.

Logitech announced also the diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks, based on the diNovo keyboards. It has a glossy black finish and brushed-aluminum palm rest. This diNovo notebook keyboard is a wireless keyboard using Logitech’s advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology. It offers also full-size layout and number pad. Priced at $99.99, it will be released worldwide in October.

There is also the Cordless Desktop S520 keyboard mouse combo. It features one-touch access to Word, Excel and your Internet browser and there are programmable F-keys. This set of keyboard mouse combo offers up to eight months of battery life for the mouse and 15 months for the keyboard. Available in September, S520 costs $59.99.

Both Illuminated Keyboard and diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks comes with Logitech PerfectStroke key system that delivers a comfortable, fluid and silent typing experience.

I was wondering if the Logitech ultra-thin Illuminated Keyboard will work with other notebook brands like Sony VAIO and HP? I was looking at the different laptops at http://www.pressdigital.com.au/ and was particularly smitten with the Blue Sony VAIO - VGNC25GL 13.3-inch notebook. I have an HP but I encounter difficulties when working in dark areas and especially nighttime. I want to be able to carry my laptop and use it even if it’s dark without disturbing others by putting on the light so the best remedy is the illuminated keyboard you have featured. But on another hand, is this wireless?
