Sharp AQUOS BD-HP50U and BD-HP21U Blu-ray Players

Sharp announced the AQUOS BD-HP50U and BD-HP21U blu-ray players that supports BD-ROM Profile 1.1, (instead of the latest 2.0). Both blu-ray players offers 1080p/24Hz output and DVD upscaling to 1080p. They support x.v.Color through the HDMI 1.3a connectors.
BD-HP50U and BD-HP21U can decode Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD and Dolby Digital Plus audio codecs. Other than Blu-ray video discs, they support also BD-ROM/RE/R, DVD Video, DVD-RW/R, DVD+RW/R, and Audio CDs.
These two player has the AQUOS LINK feature for easy remote controlling. The AQUOS BD-HP50U comes with also RS-232C port and IR port.
The AQUOS BD-HP50U is priced at $449.99 while the BD-HP21U costs $349.99.
