Rollei X-8 Sports semi-rugged Camera

Rollei presents the X-8 Sports, a semi-rugged digital camera that is waterproof and shock-proof. X-8 Sports is a 8 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, 10m water resistance, Face detection, anti-shake function, anti-red-eye, and a 2.5-inch LCD display. It can capture 640×480 or 320×240 video clips.
Rollei X-8 Sports supports SD and SDHC memory cards up to 8GB. It is also Pict-Bridge compatible.

Can you use the optical zoom when taking a movie?
Great camera 5 stars, excellent picture quality.
Using it for underwater shots while snorkeling only been down 25′ so far.
Researched underwater cameras, opted against cameras in a plastic housing to avoid the fogging problem.
Was unable to find any customer reviews on X-8 but based on my previous knowledge of the Rollei name I selected this camera over the comparable Olympus. It was $200usd cheaper then the Olympus also.
Every day is a new WOW experience as I discover all the options available. Played catch with it, soaked it in water, beat it a bit. It’s great to have a camera I can use and not have worry about it getting knocked around or wet.
Complaints: LCD is hard to see in shallow water & bright sun, there are adjustments for this.
