What kind of laptop or computer do you have from which you want to print? Does the compunter if a built in transmitter? If it does it will say in the specifications something as IEEE 802.11 b included or built in. This is usually in a laptop. I have never seen as desktop that has a wireless transmitter built in.
What is the operating system your comuter uses.
You have to have router to communicate between your computer and printer.
How to you connect to the Internet?
Do you have a wireless network set up.?
I can probably help you if you answer these questions.
There is an answer my friend: If you have a wifi router to which your mac laptop connects to then turn the Wifi Radio ON and run the Wifi setup wizard on the printer to search for your network (Enter you security string if you use WEP, WPA or WPA2 security encryption. If it connects succefully then on your mac go to the Apple > System Preferences > In the Hardware section select Print & Fax. From the print & fax window click on the (+) to Add a new printer and your ESP printer should be listed there (with a – followed by 4 numbers). Select it to set it as the default printer and your good to go. If you do not have a router but go thru an ISP then you need to get in touch with your ISP regarding acquiring an ip address to assign to your printer.
Hope This Helps!
I bought this printer for the savings in ink that was advertised. I have a mac OS 10.5 laptop. After spending hours trying to get them to communicate with each other, I gave up and waited 2 weeks for our daughter to come to visit and try to fix my problem. The outcome is that while I can now us the printer is it is plugged into the USB cord, I will not be able to enjoy the wifi features. Is there no answer for this problem. She suggested I return it to the store!!
