Pantech Matrix Dual Slider for AT&T

AT&T is going to launch the new Pantech Matrix mobile phone. Like the Pantech Duo, Matrix is a dual slider.
Pantech Matrix supports UMTS and HSDPA networks. It features a color display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth Stereo 1.2, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Matrix is able to record and play MPEG4 videos. It offers also XM Radio, and integrated music player supporting MO3, MMF, AAV, AAC+, MIDI files. Matrix has a microSD card slot.
Update: The phone is now official and will be available on 16 October for $79.99 with a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate.

I have the dual slider and the screen has a constant light on the screen when the phone is closed.
The screen wallpaper goes on when the phone is opened and off when the phone is closed but the light remains on screen. It doesn’t matter which way the phone is opened (potrait or landscape).
How do I fix this bug?
