JVC 8K4K Projector Prototype

JVC (Victor Company of Japan) has announced its development of the 8K4K D-ILA module that can produce 35 Megapixel images. At the CEATEC Japan 2008, JVC shows its 8K4K projector prototype making use of the 8K4K D-ILA device.
The prototype 8K4K projector is equippedw ith four microdisplays, three 3,840 × 2,160 pixel microdisplays and a 8,192 × 4,320 pixel microdisplay (the 8K4K D-ILA) offering a 8192×4320 Super Hi-Vision resolution with a 1 million:1 high contrast.
