This is Samsung’s SWC-E100 WiMAX ExpressCard that is the first connection card for Sprint’s XOHM WiMAX wireless broadband network. The Samsung SWC-E100 makes use of the PCI Express interface and works with Windows Vista, XP and Mac OS (but Sprint’s XOHM connection manager works only with Windows). It has a flip-up antenna and offers a download speed 2-4Mbps and upload speed of 1-2Mbps.
This WiMAX card has been reviewed by PCMag:
As it’s the first of its kind, the E100 is the only XOHM card we’ve tested so far, so we can’t compare it to other WiMAX equipment. Our overall average speeds were 2.3Mbps down and 915Kbps up, which fits into Sprint’s advertised range of 2-4 megabits down and 500-1500Kbps up.
The Samsung SWC-E100 is priced at $59.99.
