Sanyo Blue-Violet Laser Diode write 4-layer Blu-ray

Sanyo Japan has developed a new Blue-violet laser diode that can write Blu-ray disc up to 100GB in just ten minutes. Sanyo’s new diode offers a writing speed of 12x and 450mw light output, capable in 4-layer Blu-ray buring at 12x. Just do a simple math, 4 layers of Blu-ray is 100GB and this diode is able to fill it up in 10 minutes.
