Canon EOS 50D DSLR Reviewed

Canon’s EOS 50D is the company’s latest Digital SLR camera. 50D features a 15.1-megapixel CMOS APS-C size image sensor, DIGIC 4 image processor, 12800 ISO, Live View, Face Detection and a 3-inch Clear View LCD screen.
PhotographyBLOG and CNET has reviewed the EOS 50D DSLR:
CNET gives 8 out of 10 and comments:
The good: Excellent image quality; gorgeous new LCD screen; HDMI output.
The bad: No Live View in Automatic mode; Creative Auto mode seems out of place.
The bottom line: The 50D is remarkably similar to the 40D in terms of performance, looks and features–but if you can spare the extra cash, it’s a much nicer package.

Image Quality    4.5
Value for Money    4.5Considered on its own terms, the EOS 50D is a more than worthy addition to Canon’s semi-pro DSLR line-up. It boasts a significant number of refinements to a proven design that current EOS users will welcome, whilst adding enough features to catch-up with and in some ways surpass the Nikon D300…. Both prosumer and professional photographers should give the Canon EOS 50D serious consideration.
