Western Digital My Passport Studio with FireWire 800

Western Digital (WD) announced its new My Passport Studio external hard drive that comes with FireWire 800 high speed interface. That means WD’s My Passport Studio now supports FireWire 400/800 and USB interfaces. It has up to 500GB of storage capacity. The My Passport Studio comes with built-in, illuminated capacity gauge tells users how much space is available in the drive.
The My Passport Studio comes formatted HFS+ Journaled for use with Mac and users can easily reformatted for Windows PCs. It supports Apple’s Time Machine application.
The 500GB version caost $249.99 while the 400GB My Passport Studio is priced at $229.99.
