Seagate Momentus Self-encrypting Notebook HDD

Seagate introduces its new Momentus 5400 FDE.3 and Momentus 7200 FDE (full-disk encryption) laptop hard drives. The Momentus 5400 FDE.3 operates at 5400RPM WITH 8MB cache while the Momentus 7200 FDE runs at 7200RPM with 16MB of cache. Both of the mare available in 160GB and 320GB capacities.
Both series uses SATA interface and features built-in AES encryption, an AES government-grade encryption used to encrypt all hard drive information transparently and automatically.
Seagate is also preparing 500GB self-encrypting Momentus for launch early next year.
