Can anyone please stop Samsung from releasing new LCD displays. During the last few days, Samsung has introduces new LCDs here, here, and here and the Korean electronic giant just introduces in Japan the 23.6-inch SyncMaster 2494HS LCD display.
Samsung’s SyncMaster 2494HS features 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 300 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast, 5ms response time and 170/160-degree viewing angle. The 2494HS supports screen rotation for portrait or landscape use. It supports HDMI and DVI-D with HDCP support and of course RGB D-Sub input.
Available in Japan in December, Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS will be priced at 40,000 Yen.

My fellow on Facebook shared this link and I’m not dissapointed at all that I came to your blog.
Actually it does support it. It also comes with the software to support the feature. However, when you purchase the monitor it does not come with the HAS base supoort, which doesn’t allow you to physically rotate the screen while on its base. But if you lift the monitor and rotate to its side, you’ll see that the rotation system kicks in. I assume though, that one could buy this special base support system to allow you to rotate the screen properly.
This monitor does not support screen rotation.
