Meizu M8 Review and Live Shots
by Sze | Filed under Mobile Phone, Smartphone
Though Meizu M8 has not been launched to the public yet. Some Chinese sites, for example IT168, has reviewed this iPhone-like mobile phone. The Meizu M8 features a 3.4-inch 480×720 LCD touchscreen display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, 8GB or 16GB internal memory, support for dual band (900/1800MHz) GSM and GPRS. The M8 should offer also support for WiFi and EDGE, which has been locked, according to some Chinese sites.
According to IT168, Meizu’s developers have done a really good job in implementing an intuitive and user-friendly UI on Windows CE 6.0. Though we can see some elements of iPhone no matter UI or the phone design, on the Meizu M8, the phone’s remarkable performance is still worthy of recognition.

i was wondering if it fits any sim cards?? like virgin or vodafone.. and is it english??
someone who know about it please please reply!!!
thanks xxx
I was looking around and found it is selling for 400$ inc shipping on twift.com which isn’t bad if you say its 340$ IN china. but they say it is only tri-band so i guess that’s a no for you folks in the states.
@emily meade : how exactly is the m8 going to corrupt childrens minds? i missed that somehow…
I think that bringing something like that to the U.S. would raise some issues with parents because not every parent wants somethong like that to corrupt their childs mind. I personally as a 17 year old think that it would be cool for somethong that advanced to come over to the US.
P.S
sorry, the M8 cannot work in the US, i was just watching a couple of reviews! sorry?
Does it work in Canada?
I lived in china for to years, i came back to the uk about 4 months ago. This phone was very popular in china, and all the phones over there can be used with any sim carrier. I don’t think they sell it in the states or the uk but im going to get one of ebay, as having tried it out in China, think it is an improvement to the iphone, as the iphone cannot record videos!
Angus
It costs RMB 2400 in China, which is about 340 USD.
It will definitely support english and most network in the world if they want the phone to be sold out of China.
where can i buy this?
how much is it?
does it support english?
and what network does it works with?
thanks
It is a shame that the iphone is sooo restricted by Apple and AT&T. Like in the early 80’s when Apple tried to control the computer market charging (in todays dollars) over $5000 for its Apple 16K machine (not yet the II). It took people and companies like myself to break the strangle hold of Apple (companies like Texas Instruments, Sinclair, Commodore). But there were court battles and progress was at times stifled by Apple legal wins. Apple is back to their old ways and has done everything in its power to stop competition with the iphone. However, they seldom can stop software changes to their products but they are very successful at stopping hardware clones. All I wish is that we in the states have the same choices and open systems as they have in Europe and Asia. The only chance of this is that that there is competition. I hope this phone, the Hiphone, and the Boxu T32 can come to the states to give Apple a challenge.
