Addonics introduces its NAS (network attached storage) adapter, “a low-cost way to add USB storage devices onto a local area network”. The Addonics NAS adapter is basically a USB-to-NAS adapter that can turn your USB external hard drives to network attached storage drive. The adapter supports SMB (Server Message Block) and Samba network protocols and it works with Windows, Mac OS X and certain Linux distributions.
Addonics’ NAS adapter has a USB 2.0/1.1 port and an Ethernet connection. The Addonics NAS Adapter is priced at $55.
