Creative Vado HD Pocket Camcorder Reviewed
by Sze | Filed under Camera and Camcorder
Creative adds to its Vado pocket camcorder lineup the Vado HD portable HD camcorder. The Vado HD features a 2-inch LCD screen, 8GB internal memory and 720p MPEG-4 recording capability.
CNET has reviewed the Vado HD and comments:
The good: Solid 720p video; ultraslim design; removable, rechargeable battery; easy to use; one-touch video uploading to YouTube and Photobucket; includes mini HDMI connector and bundled cable for outputting 1080i video to an HDTV.
The bad: No flash-memory slot; Mac users have to manually copy video files to their computers; white balance is slightly off and colors are a bit amped.
The bottom line: The Creative Vado HD may fall slightly short of the Flip Video Mino HD in terms of video quality, but it’s stronger feature set may tempt you.

I’ve got the original Vado and have liked it for the price. BTW, its been on sale for $79.99 plus some accessories and shipped free. I ordered the Vado HD and am looking forward to it. Reviews seem to favor the Vado HD now. PCMag just gave it Editor’s Choice. Creative is discounting it $30 as an introductory price.
