World’s First Blu-ray / DVD Hybrid Disc

JVC Victor announced the development of the Blu-ray / DVD hybrid technology in 2004. Four years later, Infinity Storage Media and Kydo TV finally partnered to launch the first title, the Japanese drame Code Blue, using the Blu-ray / DVD Hybrid Disc.
The Blu-ray / DVD Hybrid Disc has Dual layer 8.5GB DVD and a single layer of 25GB Blu-ray. According to the company, the Blu-ray / DVD Hybrid Disc can be playback on 99% of DVD players.
