I am very pleased with the release of the HDC-TM300. Internal solid state memory overcomes the little known problem of HDDs.
Sony confirmed (and it’s in their user guide) above 3000M the drive will be destroyed if you turn it on! Nothing in sales literature etc but check out user guide on web support if you intend buying for use at altitude. Panasonic confirm this is not a problem with the HDC-TM300. Solid state flash storage is also less prone to damage from dropping etc. Throw in a Leica lens+Panasonic technology and it should be very good.
