SD Association announced at the CES 2009 the new ext-generation SDXC (eXtended Capacity) memory card specification. The new SDXC can offer up to 2TB of storage capacity. What can you do with 2TB? You can have 100 HD movies, 60 hours of HD recording or 17,000 fine-grade
photos on a small piece of memory card.
The SDXC utilizes Microsoft’s exFAT file system to support its large capacity and for increased compatibility with flash media. It has a read/write speeds up to 104 MB per second in 2009 with a road map to 300 MB per second.
We should be able to see SDXC cards in the market in 2009.
