JVC XV-BP1 Blu-ray player does AVCHD playback

JVC announced its first Blu-ray player for the US market, XV-BP1, which is a low-profile devices with BD Live and AVCHD support.
Other than Blu-ray discs, the JVC XV-BP1 plays also AVCHD videos that is widely used for HD camcorders, including the JVC HD Everio line. When used with USB memory, the XV-BP1 supports the BD Live (Profile ver. 2.0) that enables the player to be connected to the Internet to access BD Live 2.0 features.
JVC’s XV-BP1 blu-ray player plays BD-ROM, BD-R/RE, BD/DVD Hybrid, DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, Audio CD and CD-R/RW and supports JPEG, MP3, WMA, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS and DTS HD formats.
JVC XV-BP1 has HDMI ver.1.3 with Deep Color and x.v.Color outputs, USB Host, Ethernet LAN for BD-Live as well as component and composite video outputs. It will be available in March for $299.95.
