Kensington announced the new SlimBlade TrackBall that “brings a whole new level of control, comfort and ease to today’s digital savvy users.” The SlimBlade TrackBall allows users to control all the many interface functions that support navigation, media control adjustments, document and photo browsing with the rotation of the ball.
Kensington’s SlimBlade TrackBall works with both PC and Mac. It will be available at the end of January for a retail price of $129.99.

I haven’t used a regular mouse in over 10 years and would never go back to one again. Who wants to keep shuffling the mouse forward to get where you want to go. The Trackball is faster and, IMH, more accurate and certainly easier on the wrist. Even a wireless mouse is more restrictive in motion and more screen is covered by the TrackBall with much less motion. Each to his own.
I prefer the normal mouse.
