Who wants to keep shuffling the mouse forward to get where you want to go. The Trackball is faster and, IMH, more accurate and certainly easier on the wrist. Even a wireless mouse is more restrictive in motion and more screen is covered by the TrackBall with much less motion. Each to his own.
