Shelby Ultimate Aero EV Electric Sportscar does 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds

Shelby SuperCars announced the new Ultimate Aero EV electric sportscar, which is claimed to be the “World’s Fastest Production Electric Car”. Shelby’s Ultimate Aero EV features the All-Electric Scalable Powertrain, the AESP technology.
The Ultimate Aero EV is powered by a twin motor AESP providing 1,000 HP and 800 lb-ft of torque enabling it to rocket to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. On a single charge, the Ultimate Aero EV have a range of 150-200 miles. The AESP is liquid cooled allowing it to run for extended periods of time at peak performance with no overheating issues.
Shelby SuperCars expects to deliver the Ultimate Aero EV as soon as Q4 2009.
