Amazon Kindle 2 E-Book Reading Device

Amazon launches its new Kindle 2 wireless e-book reading device, the successor of the Kindle first gen. The Kindle 2 features a 6-inch E-Ink electronic paper display with 600 x 800 resolution at 167 ppi, 16-level gray scale, 2GB internal storage, and a 3.5mm stereo jack.
The Kindle 2 comes with integrated EVDO modem with fallback to 1xRTT for 3G connectivity. Other than Kindle AZW format, the Kindle 2 reads also TXT, Audible (formats 4, Audible Enhanced (AAX)), MP3, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively; PDF, HTML, DOC, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP through conversion.
Amazon Kindle 2 is really slim at only 0.3-inch and weighs just 10.2 ounces. It has a USB 2.0 port for charging and sync.
