Olympus STYLUS TOUGH-8000 and TOUGH-6000 Rugged Cameras

If STYLUS-550WP’s waterproof is not enough for you, consider Olympus STYLUS TOUGH-8000 and TOUGH-6000 that are shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof, crushproof and shakeproof. These two cameras are powered by Olympus’ TruePic III Image Processor and offer Face Detection, In-Camera Editing, Shadow Adjustment Technology, Intelligent Auto functions.
The STYLUS TOUGH-8000 has a 12 Megapixel sensor and the TOUGH-6000 gets a 10 Megapixel sensor. They have 3.6x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, ISO 1600 and a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal III LCD screen. They include also Dual Image Stabilization.
The TOUGH-8000 can withstand a 6.6-foot drop, 33 feet underwater, -10°C temperature and
up to 220 pounds of pressure, while the TOUGH-6000 withstands a 5-foot drop, 10 feet underwater and -10°C temperature.
Olympus’ TOUGH-8000 is available in Black, Blue and Silver for $399.99 and the TOUGH-8000 in Blue, Yellow, Orange and White for $299.99.
