Fusion-io ioDrive Duo SSD is the Fatest SSD

Remember Fusion-io’s ioDrive, the world’s fastest SSD? Forget about it, the company just announced the ioDrive Duo SSD that is even more faster. Instead of SATA, IDE, USB interfaces, the ioDrive Duo utilize the PCI-Express slot.

Based on PCI Express x8 or PCI Express 2.0 x4 standards, ioDrive Duo offers up to 20 gigabits per-second (Gbytes/sec) of raw throughput. It has a 1500 MB/sec read bandwidth and a 1400MB/sec write bandwidth. It is available in 160GB, 320GB, 640GB and 1.28TB storage capacities. The ioDrive Duo will be released in April 2009.
